I spent Saturday at a machine quilting class at MO, my first attempt at quilting with my sewing machine! I found it quite tricky and very different to the relaxing stitches of hand quilting. I tried leaves and pebbles....
cross-hatching and wonky hearts!
It was a great class and it opened up a lot of new ideas for me who is used to stitching in straight lines only. I just need to practise and hopefully will be brave enough to try and quilt one by machine soon.

You covered a lot in your class Soo! The leaves and pebbles add so much texture. I must investigate a quilting class too - looks like lots of fun.
Your machine quilting looks great. I also took a class recently and loved it.
Oh I am going to my quilting/stippling class next month for three session. Cannot wait - I have a quilt that needs to be done!
I so liked your 'wonky' hearts!
Wow - you have done so well! I have it a go once and then gave up as I found it too hard!
Well done Soo, isn't Kim a great teacher?
Wow- fantastic start! I think your first stitches look great!
I just tried it for the first time yesterday and its very difficult to get control of the stitch length. Like u I have to practise more before iattempt a project
What a great start! You should feel really proud of what you've achieved with your first effort.
Yay!!!! Looks fantastic Soo!!! I can't wait to see how fantastic you will be after a few more hours practice!
wow, great work... and THAT is your first practice?
I'm very impressed.
