momo

The sun decided to come out this afternoon so I quickly took some pictures of a little quilt, just finished, made from momo wonderland fabrics (which I love). It is for my little niece Ruby who is just a few months old.

I enjoy making quilts with rows of squares, not too tricky and nice and quick to put together. I quilted with a soft pink perle 8 cotton and bound it with stipes.

Now it's all bundled up and ready to go!

What a beautiful quilt!! I love your delightful color choices! I'm wondering what size the blocks are? I can see from the photo that there are 7 across but how many the other way? Do you have any suggestions on quilt batting for baby quilts that you prefer?
Halli - Your work is just splendid!!

Thank-you for your lovely comments!

The squares are 5 inches wide and the quilt is 7 x 8 squares. I used a 100% cotton batting from my local quilt shop. I've started on another baby quilt and am trying out quilt-lite which is very soft....I will let you know how it goes!
