the saga continues....

I think it has been a few months now since I started on my first quilt (baby size of course!). Little did I know then, that I would still be working on it now, with no end in sight. Patchwork class was last night and it took me an hour to sandwich the quilt together. I then started on the actual hand quilting and managed a total of about 10cms. Can you see it?

It was tough, a lot harder than my practice piece. So I decided to pack it up and try again over the weekend.

Some new spring clothes for Ashley.....

A pretty t-shirt from one of my favourite places where I can always find something nice!

Well, as I am learning, quilting can take an awful long time! I have only hand quilted one quilt and the pieces on that one were 18" square :-) But it sure felt good when it was done and I feel more attachment to that quilt than any other I have made. Someday I will do another one, for now I will stick to a machine because with kids I don't have a lot of time on my hands. But give yourself some time and I am sure you will be so pleased at what you can do!

I've been quilting for 3 years now and I still have so much to learn and improve upon. Aggghhh, one day when the kids are older I might get myself to a few more lessons.

thanks for the clothing link..always good to find new Australian sites.
