guilt quilt

Mother guilt. I am constantly wondering whether my children are adjusting to school/daycare, whether they are making friends, whether they are confident in themselves and if they are as happy as they possibly can be. I tend to forget that they are just 3 and 5 and they are children and the smallest things can make them happy.
I've just finished the quilt top for Josh's first quilt which he helped pick out the fabrics for (the goldfish are his favourite!). He is so happy and it's made me work on it constantly as he can't wait until it's done.

The binding will be this stripey fabric, all I need to do now is quilt it.......should be ready by the middle of summer!!!

I think I can say you are a "normal" mum worrying about your kids. Mine are 13 & 15 1/2 and I still worry.
Love the quilt. I'm sure we will all agree that the goldfish is our favourite.
Will it get used through summer?

Unfortunately, guilt is part of the territory but
the quilt is lovely - I love the colour palette and the fabrics you have chosen.

Just found you! I love the goldfish too.
I also think the applique quilt will be well worth persevering with- it is lovely!
Speaking of mother guilt- I told my 3 year old off the other morning, and just as I was leaving him at nursery he said "do you like me Mummy?" how guilty did I feel?

I feel guilty all the time, too! I guess that's just being a mother and trying to do your best with only two hands and 24 hours in a day.

Lovely quilt!

My munchkin is 2 and 1/2, and now in daycare after having me home all that first 2 years. He loves the interaction with the other kids, even the bigger kids, and they include him in their play. I understand the whole guilt thing completely.
Beautiful quilt!

How lovely that your son helped pick the fabrics! It will be such a nice keepsake for him.
I worry about my boys constantly - are they eating / sleeping / pooing enough. They are 4 and 7 now and i still worry about such things. I'll probably still do it when they are 34 and 37....

Cute fabrics - I am pretty sure we all get the 'guilt' feeling once in a while!
