It's the first day of spring and we couldn't have asked for a better day! Blue skies and not having to wear long sleeves or scarf made for a beautiful day. We spent the morning baking fairy wands and then ate them outside in the sunshine. It was difficult not to want to make pointy stars and ice them evenly but watching the little ones creating their own versions was worth it!
I also pulled out this spring inspired quilt which I have been hand quilting (for quite some time now). Almost there......

Love the fairy wand biscuits - great idea to add the "wand"!! I love seeing kids ice and decorate in the kitchen - so creative.
you are just getting spring and we are going into autumn. Biscuits look yummy.

Lovely quilt, it must be satisfying to make. My 4 yr old daughter would just love those "fairy wands".
It looks lovely Soo! Isn't it nice to have the promise of nicer weather to come!!!!
the fairy wands are great and look forward to seeing that completed quilt soon
I love the fairy wands... and I am the same about wanting to "fix" what the kids have done, I am guilty of feeling like that... but they look fantastic!

Those fairy wands look so cute - I really need a girl - oh actually I can borrow my niece again! You are very patient hand stitching that quilt. Look forward to seeing the finished picture.
hi I saw your red&white doll quilt and wanted to visit your blog via flickr, the link is broken, one http is too much
love your doll quilts and the fabrics you choose
and those cookies!
I haven't quilted yet - another thing on my list - this one is beautiful, but perhaps a little tricky for a first timer.
